Panta Rei Dance Theatre’s (PRD) talent show TILT Grow is entering its fifth year in 2022. In collaboration with Talent Norway, we are pleased to offer artistic specialization and competence building for a sustainable dance career. New this year is an offer also to more experienced dance talents through the part initiative TILT Share. Nine dance artists have been selected for the programme. It is gratifying that so many highly qualified dancers apply to our talent program, says artistic director Anne Holck Ekenes.

“However, it makes the selection job extra demanding. The Norwegian dance community is really at a very high level in an international context, and it has been really fun to meet and get to know so many talented dancers with ambitions and visions. We would very much like to offer a place to more people.

  • Ian Yves Ancheta
  • Sofia Farrah
  • Will Tjemsland Kwasny

These dance artists are participating in TILT Share 2022:

TILT Grow

TILT Grow aims to promote outstanding performance in dance theatre, as well as make participants more viable in a field that is constantly changing. Four to ten professional dancers are selected each year to participate in a one-year talent program. The program will produce one or more works for and with the talents in the program. The performances will be on tour through the project TILT and Oslofjorden danser, this is done through collaboration with municipalities, cities, cultural centers and stages in the region where the projects are carried out. The programme includes a mentor scheme with a minimum of six meetings as well as several gatherings/seminars where participants meet national and international artists and other relevant professionals who have succeeded in their field.

The participants in the programme shall:

  • be a co-creative performer in solo work
  • participate in a seminar series on managing one’s own artistry in collaboration with Dansens Hus
  • work on broad-based projects
  • touring their own solo at various venues in Viken in 2022
  • Get guidance from a mentor throughout the project year.

Tilt Share

Many dance artists will need new and exciting ways to go during their careers. As part of TILT Grow 2022, three dance artists with experience in the field will participate in the program through TILT Share.

The participants in the programme shall:

  • create your own artistic project with a mentor and PRD as supporters. The project should reflect the artist’s desire for further artistic development,
  • receive follow-up from a mentor throughout the year
  • participate in all seminars during TILT Grow 2022
  • get guidance in Panta Rei’s method of choreographic work with non-professional dancers
  • present artistic projects during TILT 2022
  • share their knowledge and experiences, as well as research in further art development with the other participants in TILT Grow.
