A solo with and by Stine Solvang, dancer in TILT Grow, in close collaboration with Norwegian choreographer Stian Danielsen.

STINE SOLVANG

Stine Solvang is a 24 year old dance artist from Ski / Oslo. After studying dance at Ski High School, Stine moved to Leeds, England, where she earned her bachelor’s degree from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (2014-2017). Since 2017, she has been a freelancer based in Oslo and participated in projects such as “DISFUNC” by Carl Aquilizan, R&D with Tendai Malvine Makurumbandi and “Among Us” by Maria Kristina Klungnes Berg.

In 2019, Stine participated in the “NOD International Contemporary Dance Program” in Turin, Italy, as a scholarship student. As a dance artist, she is playful, expressive and versatile with a passion for improvisation.

STIAN DANIELSEN

Stian Danielsen is a Norwegian choreographer and dancer who graduated from the Oslo Academy of the Arts in 2009. He has choreographed the solo work “Entitled” which premiered at Bærum Kulturhus in 2018, “WOW” for Kompani Haugesund which premiered at the Festival in 2017 with guest performances for Norwegian Opera and Ballet, and the performance “GRIP” which premiered at Dansens Hus Norge in 2012. The latter performance toured in the spring of 2014 with the Riksteater with choreographers Alan Lucien Øyen and Ludvig Daae.

In addition to dancing in his own works, Stian has also worked as a dancer with choreographers and companies such as Jo Strømgren, Janne Camilla Lyster, Hege Haagenrud, Ingun Bjørnsgaard and Carte Blanche.
