CODAUNG
CODA Oslo International Dance Festival celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2012, with the youth program CODAUng as a primary focus. Panta Rei Danseteater managed and coordinated the CODAUng project, and will continue the collaboration in 2014.
Panta Rei Danseteater was the project manager for the youth program CODAUng, which was a primary focus during CODA Oslo International Dance Festival’s tenth anniversary in 2012.
The program consisted of workshops in dance, rap and DJ skills, a performance of In the Dust by 2Faced Dance Company from England, young people’s choreographies, site-specific performances on subways and trams, music by musician Samsaya and snippets of PRD’s latest production I wish her well. Young people from Stovner, Grünerløkka and Northern Aker neighborhoods attended.
The CODA festival was opened by Oslo’s cultural commissioner Olaf Bjercke at Rommen Stage followed by performances by 2Faced, youth choreographies performed to their own composed tracks and a mini concert with Samsaya.
