Breakfast talk and seminar “We need to talk about diversity.”

Date and place: April 26th at Dansens Hus, the foyer and Studioscene.
08:30-09:30 Breakfast conversation, We need to keep talking about dance 10:00-15:30 Seminar We need to talk about diversity
Breakfast meeting: We need to keep talking about dance!

We invite dance artists to an informal breakfast meeting where we take a closer look at some of the issues that emerged in “Summary – We need to talk about dance”. We would like to hear from dance artists, if there are topics that you would like to highlight or reflect on. For example, is there anything in the summary that you would like to elaborate on? Are there issues that are not highlighted and that you would like to air? Or are there other things, regardless of the summary, that you have on your mind? Then this can be a great opportunity for sharing!

Our goal is for this to be a low-threshold arena for meeting and sharing thoughts – and a safe place to express one’s opinions. The summary can be read here: "https://pantareidanseteater.com/nb/aktuelt/aaa-report ":/nb/aktuelt/aaa-reportPlace: the foyer at Dansens Hus.

We offer coffee, tea and a simple breakfast! The conversation is presented in collaboration with Dance Information and Norwegian Dance Artists.

Diversity is about what creates differences between humans. At the same time, diversity is also about meeting differences with openness, respect and inclusion. For dance, diversity ensures the ability to embrace a broad scope, relevance and thus a good dialogue with the present. The seminar “Dance Art and Diversity” addresses the opportunities a greater awareness of diversity can provide. Panta Rei invites both dance artists and other professionals to present performances that work well and discuss the way forward for the field.
Place: Studioscenen Dansens Hus.

Program: Deichman and Tabanka present their work and diversity strategy as an introduction to discussions. More contributors TBA. The seminar will include a panel discussion and debate.
The registration deadline for the seminar on diversity is April 19. Send mail to: julie@pantareidanseteater.com
The seminar is organized in collaboration with Dansens Hus.
