Talents 2020

Panta Rei Dance Theater is working on the sixth version of TILT and the third version of TILT Grow! In 2020, the company with TILT will come to Viken and will visit Lørenskog, Nittedal, Lillestrøm, Nordre Follo and Ås throughout the year.

On February 22, we auditioned for this year’s TILT Grow. After receiving a record number of applications, we finally invited 50 professional dancers to the Norwegian Opera and Ballet for an audition.

This year, TILT Grow is tailored for Viken and offers 8 dancers, all of whom will be co-creative performers in a solo prepared by a renowned national or international choreographer.

On March 10, we had the first gathering with the talents where we had the opportunity to get to know each other better and have a review of what the year in the talent program will look like.

In addition to production and touring with his solo, the talents will be offered a separate mentor throughout the year, as well as follow a series of seminars on the management of their own art that is carried out at Dansens Hus. TILT Grow is an arena for skills development for dance artists who are both interested in artistic development work, and who want to work on projects that contribute to increased dance interest among the general population. Therefore, the participants in TILT Grow must also be responsible for some TILT width projects.

“This year we tailor TILT for the Viken region with an artistic ambition to create exciting dance art together with exceptional performers and a bunch of national and international choreographers that we admire and believe will challenge and inspire the participants in the TILT Grow program”, says Artistic director in Panta Rei Dance Theater (PRD), Anne Ekenes.

This year, all the talents will develop a solo in collaboration with their respective choreographers.

The choreographers in this year’s TILT Grow are Anne Ekenes and Pia Holden, Cecilie Lindeman Steen, Erik Kaiel, Georgie Rose, Ina Christel Johannesen, Koen De Preter, Rachel Erdos and Stian Danielsen.
