Fanfare is traditionally a signal of trumpets or horns used as a sign of joy or tribute. We have created a fanfare in motion based on what an inherent feeling of joy can have as a potential for playfulness, liberation, passion and power.

EDITH STRAND ASKELAND

Edith (born 1998) is a professional dancer born and raised in Lørenskog. In the spring of 2020, she graduated from the Oslo Academy of the Arts with a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance. She has previously been part of the youth company På tå hev (2016-17) at the Norwegian Opera & Ballet, at the same time as she attended the dance program at Lillestrøm Upper Secondary School (2014-17).

Through both education and other projects, Edith has worked with a wide range of choreographers and dance artists, who have helped shape her into the dancer she is today. What interests Edith is to create and be a part of dance art that inspires change and innovation in both spectators and performers.
