Kindergartens, schools, cultural schools, cheerleaders, u-clubs, firemen, councilors, festival and theater administrations has joined the dance on beaches, mountain tops, bridges, fire stations and ceilings. The results will be shown in September in conjunction with the performance og the Marathon Dance at Teatret Vårt in Molde.

The Marathon Dance

The Marathon Dance is the story of a dance contest during the depression of in the thirties. The couple who stays upright can win the most money or maybe discovered by a Hollywood talentist. The dream of wealth and fame drives the participants farther and farther towards the edge. It is a story about the price of humanity and freedom in a cynical world in economic decline. In the Marathon Dance we see the beginning of what has evolved into today’s reality TV. Real people’s dreams and hopes are broken or fulfilled while we are watching.

Trondheim

In Trondheim TILT will tailor dance projects for students and other residents in their district in cooperation with the Cultural Schoolbag and the Cultural School. In collaboration with DansiT, they will offer exclusive dance projects to the schools Ranheim, Spongdal and Sverresborg. In addition, older people are involved so that we create a generational event as a final result where choreographies are shown to each other.

In Trondheim we cooperate with DansiT (Regional Competence Center for Dance) and Trondheim Open about the performance of Silence is a matter of perception with dancers from TILT Grow in small galleries. In conjunction with the performance, results from the TILT project will be displayed.

Røros

At Røros everyone is first gathered in shared dance that is captured on film. Then Røros will have the chanche to see the performance Silence is a mattter of perception, which gives people the opportunity to invite the show home to themselves. We end with the show Make Me Dance, where we will also have a world premiere of the flashmob film in advance of the performance.

Orkdal

In Orkdal, children and youth will be involved in dance workshops and choreographies that will be displayed in connection with the performance Make Me Dance.

They will also receive a visit from the performance Silence is a matter of perception. The TILT Grow dancers will show the performance before they settle down with a cup of coffee / tea and talk about personal experiences related to the home; personal stories related to joy, sorrow and that bring warmth into the home on a cold autumn day. The families are also offered to dance with us.

Kristiansund

In Kristiansund the flashmob will appear everywhere around the small municipalities. TILT cooperates with Tendai, a dancer from Zimbabwe who moved to Norway, and now lives in Sunndalsøra where he runs a dance festival and teaches dance to children and youth.
