"Jam & Stop"

In September 2020, Panta Rei Dance Theater collaborated with Ski Videregående skole and Kråkstad Jazz, amongst others. Panta Rei Dance Theatre and TILT Grow dancer Stine Solvang, held a workshop for the students in 3rd grade. During these workshops we created the performance “Jam & Stop”. Stine also held a workshop with musicians Kråkstad jazz. The music for the piece was made by young musicians from Kråkstad Jazz under the direction of Gunnar Halle, jazz musician and trumpeter. The group played live during the performance.

Kråkstad Jazz is a band and interaction offer for children and young people aged 10 – 19 years. The music embraces most of the rhythmic field, old and new or own compositions and always with elements of the improvised and exploratory. Kråkstad Jazz is located in its own premises at Kråkstad Samfunnshus, has a flea market once a year and offers students free tuition with jazz musician and trumpeter Gunnar Halle, as well as various projects with professional musicians from home and abroad.
