A solo by and with David Forsberg in collaboration with choreographer Erik Kaiel.

Spirit rises, feathers fall. This dance haiku is inspired by Icarus, and weaves together flight, falling, loving, learning, loss, and the longing to live intensely. In a time when we can not be too close, how are we to find closeness?

DAVID FORSBERG

David is a dance artist from Falun, Sweden. He is a graduate of two folk high schools, one year at Kävesta folk high school in Örebro and two years in “New education for contemporary dance” (Härnösand Folk High School). After two years at Härnösand Folk High School, David was offered a trainee contract as a dancer at Norrdan’s dance company.

During the year at Norrdans he worked with international and national choreographers such as Martin Forsberg, Jose Agudo, Mari Carrasco, Peter Svenzon, Viktor Konvalinka and was involved in a film project with the award-winning choreographer Fabio Liberti.

In 2019, David moved to Oslo to work with Nagelhus Schia Productions in their “Apprentice mentorship program” (AMP). At the end of 2019, he performed with the solo “What’s Next”, which premiered at Stockholm City Theater, and was also involved in a production in Spain with choreographer Fabian Thome.

ERIK KAIEL

Erik an award winning independent choreographer based in the Netherlands. His work is performed all over the world, both on stage and in public space. He also regularly teaches composition workshops & guest choreographs for other organizations. This is his second collaboration with Tilt / Panta Rei, after ‘Det vi ikke ser’ in Fall 2018.
